Why Give?
Scandinavian Communities are a not for profit 501(c)(3) organization. All donations enhance the mission of Scandinavian Assisted Living and Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing and are tax deductible as provided by law. As a not for profit we rely on and truly appreciate the generous support we receive from our friends and family members.
Ways of Giving
In addition to monetary gifts, you may consider one of the following:
Bequests
Appreciated Securities
Life Insurance
Life Income Gifts
Real Estate
Gifts In Memory or In Honor of a Loved One
Gamlas Vanner Society
Giving Society
Gamlas Vanner is Swedish for "friends of the elderly". This makes it a perfect name for our Giving Society. Membership in the Gamlas Vanner Society is reserved for donors who give $5,000 or more to Scandinavian Communities, Inc. or have made a provision to bequeath $5,000 or more through their estate plan.
Many members have given gifts as a remembrance of a loved one or in honor of staff in appreciation for the care their family member received. Membership is also a wonderful way to commemorate a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary.
If you wish to become a member of the Society by making a bequest, simply notify us in writing and provide evidence that you have included Scandinavian Communities as a beneficiary in your will, life insurance, or in some other manner.
The name of each distinguished member of the Gamlas Vanner Society is permanently inscribed on one of the bricks which border the beautiful mural in the entrance to the Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing building and also on one of the leaves on the Recognition Tree located in Assisted Living.
Please contact our Director of Development at 401-461-1444 if you would like more information. Your accountant, tax attorney or other tax advisor can help you with specifics for your situation.
